I was very proud of Owen who even after I was called to pick him up due to some stomach "issues", still wanted to perform with his class. He did great!
At any rate, he needed to stay home today because of his stomach so when I came home from work at lunch, he entertained me with his comments.
Owen playing by himself with a little frog figurine said:"Mr. Frog said to Mr. Owen's arm, 'Mr. Arm? Would you help me hop down this hill?' Mr. Owen's arm replies 'I would love to!' and off Mr. Frog and Mr. Arm hopped off together... Uhoh, Mom?? Can we go up to the bathroom - Quick? (hence why we are home today)
Owen: "Mom? Why are my buns acting like a Volcano?"
Me: "A Volcano?"
Owen: "Yea, my poo seems like it's coming out like hot lava!!"
--a breath later--
Owen: "Did you remember to sign me up?"
Me: "For what!"
Owen: "For Christmas! Santa has a list and I need to be on it!
--when we left the bathroom and were getting him back dressed, he jumps off the bed saying:
"I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter. (Running to the window) Away to the window I flew like a flash, (opening the blinds) flew open the shutters and drew up the sash..."
Then we were at the store and he had the typical 3 year old not understanding buying things for other people. Apparently when I was explaining how the season is about remembering and giving to those we love, I looked pretty serious as when I was done he looked at me and said:
This is why my nights are never dull - - what a character! I can't wait to embarrass him with all this later :)
